You\u2019ve got the bar loaded up with a potential new personal best. You feel strong. You feel confident.<br \/>\n\u201c<em>Hell yeah! That baby is going up today!<\/em>\u201d<\/p>\n<p>You walk up to the bar all set to rip it off the group. It\u2019s showtime!<br \/>\nHeadphones on. Taylor Swift blasting on full volume (Hey, I ain\u2019t judging!)<\/p>\n<p>You grab that bar and start the pull. Boy it feels good! That back\u2026 Thick, Solid, TIGHT! You\u2019re gonna make it\u2026.<\/p>\n<p>And just as you break past that first sticking point\u2026 Trouble strikes! Your fingers start to open up and you feel that bar slipping off.<br \/>\n\u201c<em>Wait. And the scene ain\u2019t pretty.<br \/>\nThat bar is on the floor. And you\u2019re in the corner with your head bowed down in shame.<\/p>\n<p>The end.<\/p>\n<p>Ok, I\u2019ll admit that\u2019s a little too much dramatization. But you can\u2019t deny that you\u2019ve faced this problem before. Where you\u2019ve gone into a set of deadlifts or pullups or rows feeling very strong but were FORCED to stop the set early because your grip gave out well before your back did. It\u2019s happened to me too.
