Warming up is like pumping steam throughout your body, just like you rev your engine before accelerating ahead in full speed. Warm ups are a crucial part of your everyday workout regimes. It’s your body’s way of waking up. Not just physically but even psychologically. A thorough warm up will prepare every muscle fiber in your body for an intense workout that follows.
Generally when giddy headed guys hit the gym, they start off with a couple of static stretches, loosening up of the muscles or simply run on the treadmill for 5 minutes. This warm up is called the “namesake” warm-up. It is usually done to silence the scruples. Now feeling completely satisfied that “I’ve done my warm up”, the typical guy will hit the gym hard with his regular training.
Now even though we know that this is not a good kind of pre workout routine to follow, we nevertheless abide by it faithfully. After all who’s gonna spend an additional 15-20 minutes just warming up, right?
