How to correct Shoulder Imbalances
// March 20th, 2012 // Injury Prevention/Rehab
Lets face it…..
Shoulder injuries can be CRIPPLING!
And the first place the common gym goer gets injured (and injured BAD!) is the shoulder region
Aside from the fact that the shoulders are very mobile and hence injury prone……one of the BIGGEST causes of such injuries is the presence of muscular imbalances
Do you have muscular imbalances in your shoulders?
Don’t know?
Chances are…..YOU DO! (Just like countless others)
Check out my video to find out whether or not you have shoulder imbalances and if so then how to correct them
Hope you found this video informative and will put it to use immediately

Sean, what about the Rhomboid.mid low trap Muscle groups that pull the scapula back into position (scapoular retraction and scapular depression). Won’t this help to stabilize the gleno-humeral joint as you work to reverse the internal shoulder rotation??

In terms of the most common causes for internal shoulder rotation, rotator cuff weakness and weak rear delts are right up there at the top
Sure, the rhomboids would kick in to play their role
But there is a distinct limit to how much the body can do to prevent imbalances we are practically forcing into it
Day after day week after week we continue to hammer away our front delts while completely neglecting our rotator cuff and rear delt muscles
Theres not much that the rhomboids can do to offset such a big fallout
